Solutions package

Mine Development Package

A complete development-cycle package for Australian hard-rock metal mines, mid-tier gold producers, coal operations and the underground contractors that drive declines, drives and roadways for them. The equipment groups below cover the full cycle from face advance through primary support, charge-up, mucking and haulage, production drilling and rescue. EJM and EBH continuous bolter-miners are offered as the cycle-free alternative on long, uniform roadways. FRP composite ground support carries the no-spark, shearer-cuttable, corrosion-resistant requirements coal and chloride-aggressive ground demand.

Mine Development Package

Who it's for

Australian hard-rock metal and coal mining houses and the underground contractors driving declines, drives and roadways for them.

When to specify this package

  • Hard-rock decline, drive or sublevel-stoping development.
  • NSW or Qld longwall coal roadway development.
  • Cycle-free roadway driving on long, uniform sections.
  • Remote-site development with on-site batching scope.

Scope of supply

Development jumbo (face advance)

Drills the burn cut and bolt holes at the face. Pick the platform off rock hardness, drill-hole depth and drive section. CYTJ45 single-boom for tight narrow-vein work; CYTJ45/2 twin-boom for typical decline, drive and large main-decline sections, with the CYTJ45/2(Z) intelligent variant available where automated drill-pattern execution and scanner-driven face capture earn their keep.

Probe-ahead and pre-support grouting

Forward-looking ground-condition story between rounds. The DGZ multi-function rig handles probe-ahead, geological coring, drainage and pre-support drilling. The ZJS intelligent grouting plant pairs with it for water-stop, consolidation and contact grouting with grout-log capture.

Mechanised charge-up (development and production)

Mechanised charge-up replaces hand-charging from a basket, with wireless remote, hydraulic hose feed, per-hole charge-mass control and pressure and temperature interlocks. UC-0.4B is the development-cycle face-advance chargeup jumbo; UDK-40 is the production-cycle long-hole chargeup jumbo for sublevel stoping and adds a mechanised hole-pairing mechanism that aligns the charging tube to the borehole collar without manual hole-stabbing. Mines running both cycles specify both; development-only operations specify UC-0.4B alone.

Underground mucking and haulage

Closes the muck cycle between the face and the orepass or shaft tip. The WJ-6 underground diesel LHD picks up blasted ore from the face or drawpoint after vent-out and trams it to the haul truck loading bay or directly to an orepass; it is sized for 4.5 m by 4.5 m drive cross-sections, 6 m³ SAE bucket and 14 t tramming capacity. The UK-40 underground mining truck handles the long-haul leg from the LHD tip to the orepass or shaft station; it requires a 5.5 m by 5.5 m lane and carries 40 t SAE payload on a 78.5 t loaded weight. Both run brochure-grade component-level disclosures of the driveline (Volvo TAD1351VE 285 kW and TAD1650VE 405 kW respectively, with DANA transmissions and KESSLER axles on the WJ-6).

Primary ground support: bolting platform

Bolt-and-mesh response after muck clearance. The CYTM41/2(A) mining bolt-drilling jumbo handles drilling, mesh and bolt installation in one pass on a single chassis, with a manual release pump for boom retraction in service or fault scenarios.

Squeezing-ground steel-arch support

Installs U-section steel sets and tube-arch yielding support over the bolt-and-mesh in squeezing or poor ground. Specified where the bolt-and-mesh primary alone will not hold the section, or where the design lining demands steel sets ahead of secondary lining.

FRP rock bolts and composite ground support

Pultruded basalt and glass-fibre full-thread bolts shear cleanly under the longwall shearer, leave no metal cuttings on the face conveyor and remove a methane ignition source. FRP and composite reinforcement also outlast steel in chloride-aggressive groundwater and process-area concrete.

Shotcrete primary lining

Pick by section size. The UPS-20J(B) compact sprayer is the standard pick for typical decline and drive primary lining. The HPS-series shotcrete jumbo handles larger civil-grade ramp portals and main-decline sections. Both run fibre-reinforced shotcrete over bolt-and-mesh.

Continuous bolter-miner (cycle-free alternative)

Spec to ground type. The EJM-series suits coal-measure rock with single-pass cut, foam dust suppression and onboard probe drilling. The EBH-series suits hard rock to f12 Protodyakonov. Choose this group over the cycle-based combination on long, uniform roadways where geometry holds.

Production drilling (underground longhole and surface bench)

Three drilling tasks downstream of the decline. CYTC-class for underground longhole and sublevel stoping. ZYL138Q integrated DTH for compact open-pit and contractor work. ZYL-series open-pit rigs for larger production benches with top-hammer or DTH.

Underground spoil haulage

Pick by mine type and roadway length. The coal-mine belt conveyor with self-advancing crawler tail suits NSW and Qld longwall coal main-gate setups. The civil-grade continuous belt conveyor suits long, low-deviation declines and adits running a single continuous spoil train.

Portal aggregation and on-site batching

Closes the loop between development spoil and on-site concrete and shotcrete supply at remote sites. The DG, DY and DL slag-crushing line converts spoil into shotcrete aggregate, road base and surface backfill. The HZS modular batching plant feeds shotcrete and structural concrete on site.

Dust control and emergency rescue

The tunnel dust collector clears smoke and dust after blasts to support faster re-entry, with self-cleaning cluster filters, hydrostatic drive and bidirectional cab. The horizontal rescue drilling rig opens an escape passage after a roadway collapse, with explosion-proof variants for coal sector use.

Engineering and R&D

CRCHI Australia brings full OEM engineering and R&D capacity to every package. Most catalogue equipment is configurable to project requirements; project-specific scope is engineered to brief; and where a project calls for it, a complete solution is developed from the ground up. Typical tailoring on mine development includes jumbo boom configuration, bolting-platform magazine, shotcrete-rig spray envelope and bolter-miner section profile matched to the operation.
