Shaft TBM
Full-Face Shaft TBM
The full-face shaft TBM excavates vertical shafts and applies different support solutions to suit the ground, delivering excavation, support and spoil removal in parallel for a fully mechanised shaft-sinking process. Used in mining, water-conservancy and municipal projects, sized across normal to mega-bore shaft diameters.

Features
High construction safety: surface-based, fully mechanised operation with no personnel underground during excavation, and integrated excavation and support
High construction precision, with real-time attitude monitoring and hydraulic lifting trimming steel-segment attitude
Wide ground adaptability: optimised excavation parameters limit the impact of unfavourable strata
High equipment reusability: modular design eases dismantling and re-assembly, with long service life on key components

Configuration and engineering
Every CRCHI TBM is engineered to project. Shield diameter, cutterhead geometry, drive power, segmental ring design and back-up arrangement are configured to the alignment, ground conditions and water pressure of the drive. Project-specific scope beyond the standard envelope is engineered to brief, and where a drive calls for it, a machine is developed from the ground up. CRCHI Australia is the engineering, commercial, commissioning and aftermarket point of contact for Australian projects.
