Mining Chargeup Jumbo

UC-0.4B Mining Development Chargeup Jumbo

Mechanised explosives chargeup jumbo for underground non-coal development. The UC-0.4B mixes emulsion explosive on board from non-detonator-sensitive substrate and pumps it into pre-drilled blast holes through a powered hose reel, with the charging operator working from a boom-mounted basket platform up to 6 m above the floor. A 400 kg substrate tank, 25 kg/min charging rate and 10 m maximum hole depth cover the development cycle on a 3 × 3 m to 10 × 6 m envelope. The articulated four-wheel-drive chassis runs on a 55 kW diesel with local plus wireless remote control; the basket is auto-levelling and slews ±90 degrees with a 400 kg payload. CRCHI Australia handles commissioning, parts and aftermarket support across Australia. Where civil drill-and-blast tunnel projects need a higher charge mass per round, CRCHI's RHZ-series Chargeup Rig is the counterpart family, rated up to 400 x 2 kg per shot and sized for 10 x 11 m and 11 x 13 m tunnel sections rather than the smaller mining-drift face the UC-0.4B targets.

Features

01

Mechanised charging with on-board emulsion mixing - plunger-pump charging system mixes substrate and pumps the finished emulsion at up to 25 kg/min, with over-pressure, over-temperature and material-breakage alarms that trigger automatic shutdown. The site-mixed emulsion is non-detonator-sensitive, so charging plant and finished explosive only meet at the borehole collar

02

Adjustable coupling charging - full-coupling mode for trenching holes (cuts the number of drill holes required) and semi-coupling mode for perimeter holes (controls roadway profile and reduces over-excavation). Coupling rate adjusts to suit rock conditions on the heading

03

Powered hose reel for mechanised feed and retract - the explosive feeding pipe reel drives the charging hose into and out of the hole, taking long-hose handling out of the operator's task and reducing pipe abrasion

04

Basket work platform with auto-levelling - 400 kg basket payload, protective roof, slew angle minus 90 to plus 90 degrees and automatic levelling carry the charging operator up to 6 m working height across a 3 by 3 m to 10 by 6 m heading envelope

05

Compressed-air hole-clearing function - on-board screw compressor (12.5 kW, 1.8 m³/min at 8 bar, optional configuration) clears a blocked hole with compressed air before charging

06

Articulated four-wheel-drive chassis on rubber tyres - front axle fixed, rear axle floating, articulated steering, wet axle with parking and service brakes; 8.25-15NHS tyres; 26 / 15 degree approach / departure, 260 mm minimum ground clearance, 25% maximum gradeability. FOPS/ROPS-certified canopy cab with reversing camera and 300 mm cab lift travel

07

On-board informatisation - automatic logging of charge weight, hole depth and equipment data; faults (low diesel level, hydraulic over-temperature, charge-system over-temperature, over-pressure or material breakage) raise an automatic alarm; optional wireless construction-data download and remote real-time monitoring

Overview

Applications

Mechanised explosives charging in underground non-coal development - drift, decline and adit advance where a charging crew currently hand-loads emulsion into pre-drilled blast holes. The 3 by 3 m to 10 by 6 m operating section range and 10 m maximum hole depth cover the bulk of underground non-coal development cycles, and the basket platform reaches up to 6 m above the floor for top-of-face holes. Suited to operators converting a hand-charging cycle to a mechanised one, where 25 kg/min loading rate and a two-person crew replace the manual loading task on the face. CRCHI Australia handles commissioning, spares and aftermarket nationally.

Performance

11.5 t platform on a 9530 by 2000 by 2485 mm transport envelope. 400 kg on-board substrate tank, charging rate 25 kg/min, substrate feeding speed 5 to 25 m/min, charging-hose inner / outer diameter 18 / 25 mm. Maximum hole depth 10 m. Maximum basket working height 6 m, operating section range 3 by 3 m up to 10 by 6 m. Diesel engine rated 55 kW with a 60 L tank. Maximum travelling speed 12 km/h, maximum gradeability 25%, minimum turning radius 3.4 m inner / 5.8 m outer. Approach / departure angle 26 / 15 degrees. Adaptation to altitude at or below 2000 m (high-altitude module optional). Local plus wireless remote control.

Functions

Plunger-pump charging system with 400 kg substrate tank, full / semi-coupling control and over-pressure / over-temperature / material-breakage alarms. Powered explosive-feeding pipe reel. On-board screw-compressor air supply for hole clearing. Basket work platform with protective roof, plus-or-minus 90 degree slew and automatic levelling. FOPS/ROPS-certified canopy cab with reversing camera and 300 mm cab lift travel. Articulated four-wheel-drive chassis with wet axle, parking and service brakes. Electrical system at 380 V / 50 Hz standard (1000 V / 50 Hz optional) with 30 kW total installed power. Informatisation covering charge and hole-depth logging, fault alarming and optional remote monitoring.

Benefits

Replaces a hand-charging crew on the face with a two-person mechanised cycle running at 25 kg/min, taking long-hose handling and emulsion bag-pour off the operator's task list. Site-mixed non-detonator-sensitive emulsion keeps charging plant and finished explosive separate until the borehole collar. The basket platform puts the operator on a stable elevated work position rather than on an improvised man-cage or scaffold on the face, and the powered hose reel keeps the loading hose tensioned and tracked. Adjustable coupling rate lets the crew pull number-of-holes back on cut/trench rounds and dial perimeter holes for profile control on the same machine. On-board fault alarming and charge-weight logging give the shift a per-round audit trail. CRCHI Australia handles commissioning, spares and aftermarket nationally.
