CYTJ45 Single-Boom Mining Drilling Jumbo

The CYTJ45 is a single-boom mining drilling jumbo for medium and large underground drifts and tunnels, integrating face blasting-hole drilling and rock-bolt hole drilling on one platform. It is offered in two configurations: a hydraulic baseline and an intelligent low-profile variant. CYTJ45(A) is the hydraulic baseline, with a Yuchai 81 kW CN IV diesel, a 22 kW-class hydraulic rock drill and a five-option feed range from 3.4 m to 4.6 m. CYTJ45(Z) is the intelligent variant, custom-sized for low-height tunnels on a smaller 55.8 kW CN stage IV diesel, equipped as standard with a fully computerised control system, a blast-hole layout design and import workflow, an on-board scanner module for face point-cloud capture, and automatic adaptive drilling. Both variants share a FOPS/ROPS cab with air conditioning, automatic shank lubrication and a 22 kW rock-drill impact-power class. CRCHI Australia handles commissioning, parts and aftermarket support nationally. For larger civil-tunnel cross-sections, the ZYS-series tunnel drilling jumbos in our tunnel excavation and support range scale the same drill-and-blast approach to two, three and four booms on a cable-tethered electric chassis. ZYS has no 1-boom variant, so the CYTJ45 single-boom remains the narrow-drift configuration in the CRCHI line.

CYTJ45(A)

Hydraulic

Hydraulic single-boom baseline with a 22 kW rock drill, internal-combustion tramming and a five-option feed range to 4.6 m.

CYTJ45(Z)

Intelligent

Intelligent low-profile variant with computerised control, scanner-captured face geometry and automatic drilling.

  • Smaller 55.8 kW CN stage IV diesel custom-sized for low-height tunnels (60 L tank), with a 1 x 55 kW motor in the electrical block driving the rock drill; total power 68.5 kW
  • Fully computerised control system standard, with digital tunnelling design import, parking guidance, rapid machine positioning, automatic adaptive drilling and operation-log generation
  • On-board scanner module captures roadway contour and working-face point cloud to evaluate drillability for each hole position; eliminates the manual marking-out step
  • Standard drifter THD2238 (22 kW / 410 J / 215 r/min) with optional HC95LMW (21 kW / 340 J / 296 r/min)

Applications

Face advance and rock-bolt hole drilling in underground mine drifts, declines and drives, with the same platform suited to water-conservancy adits, hydropower headrace tunnels and underground civil works in medium and large cross-sections. CYTJ45(A) covers a maximum working face of 8.4 m by 7.6 m and a minimum face of 3.7 m by 3.5 m on a 16 t platform; CYTJ45(Z) covers 7.9 m by 7 m down to 3 m by 3 m on a 13 t platform sized for low-height tunnels.
