Solutions package

Rail Civils Package

For rail civils principals and tier-1 track contractors tendering on Australian rail packages. Trackform components are grouped by line type so a buyer working on metro, intercity, freight, heavy-haul, light rail or high-speed can specify the matching turnout, frog and fastening set without cross-reading every data sheet. Beyond trackform, the package covers FRP fit-out for the track corridor (composite cable trays, trench covers, third-rail covers, evacuation walkways and basalt-fibre asphalt admixture), a friction-material aftermarket line (rail-grinding stones, brake plates, brake shoes) and a condition-monitoring fleet for the operating phase.

Rail Civils Package

Who it's for

Rail civils principals and tier-1 track contractors on heavy-haul, intercity, metro, light-rail, high-speed and maglev packages.

When to specify this package

  • Heavy-haul iron-ore or coal corridor design.
  • Driverless metro extension or new metro line.
  • Conventional ballasted intercity, regional or freight renewal.
  • High-speed corridor, light-rail or maglev/monorail brief.

Scope of supply

Conventional intercity, regional and freight ballasted trackform

For interstate freight upgrades, regional renewals, suburban heavy-rail and intercity passenger services. The P60 mainline turnout covers crossover and turnout duty; Type I, Type II and Type III fastenings sit alongside it across rail weights and design speeds.

Metro and urban rail trackform

For driverless metro and metro-extension corridors where monolithic ballastless track-bed dominates. P60 and P50 metro crossover turnouts match tight metro switching geometry, with alloy-steel frogs at the crossing and the DZ III / DT VI 2 monolithic-bed fastening.

Light rail and tramway trackform

For light-rail extensions, urban tramway corridors and CBD-fringe tram networks. The trackform is grooved-rail street-running with very tight geometry, embedded-block reserved track and ballastless slab in segregated sections.

Engineering and R&D

CRCHI Australia brings full OEM engineering and R&D capacity to every package. Most catalogue equipment is configurable to project requirements; project-specific scope is engineered to brief; and where a project calls for it, a complete solution is developed from the ground up. Typical tailoring on rail civils includes turnout geometry, frog material specification, fastening shoulder height, FRP fit-out section and inspection-vehicle bogie configuration matched to the corridor.
