CRCHI supplied EPB TBMs for the Santiago Metro expansion, led by the 9.8 m EPBM "Matukana" on Line 7, with further CRCHI machines deployed on Line 8. The fleet operated through the alluvial geology of the Chilean capital under the seismic design conditions that govern the Santiago basin.
