Advance to Date

CRCHI built the 13.42 m large-diameter Shenjiang TBM for the Pearl River Estuary Tunnel on the Shenzhen to Jiangmen Railway, a single-tube, double-track high-speed rail crossing. During the continuing drive the machine reached 113 metres of underwater operating depth, a world record for an underwater high-speed railway shield tunnel, against a maximum water and soil pressure of 1.16 MPa. As of the milestone, Shenjiang had advanced 4,124 metres and erected 2,062 segment rings, with the drive scheduled to continue through the estuary's complex strata.
